As many of you know, I have a very busy house. With 5 kids, I always am multi-tasking and doing my best to make everyone happy. When it comes time for dinner, accomplishing that is difficult to say the least. Trying to feed the baby, keep my 3 year old from spilling his food, shooing the dogs (or cats) away and trying to stuff food into my own mouth is not a simple chore.
When I found out about Baby Dipper bowls, I was very intrigued. Could a bowl really make my life easier? Really? Designed by a mom of twins (actually a mom to 2 sets of twins!!) trying to juggle feeding two babies at once, Barbara Schantz came up with Baby Dipper. But, you don’t have to be a mom of multiples to enjoy the benefits of Baby Dipper.
Let’s talk about Baby Dipper bowls. I love first how it looks. It is solid, doesn’t bend like most “plastic” bowls and is a nice shape. It has a non-slip base and a spoon that sits well into the bowl. It drives me batty when I am feeding the baby and I set her spoon down and it flips out of the bowl; this is not a problem with Baby Dipper! The interior is contoured making for easy dipping of the spoon and gathering of food. It holds 4 oz of food. (This is my only complaint. I really would enjoy a bigger bowl. Joley can eat more than 4oz at a time now so a slightly larger bowl would be perfect! We still enjoy using it for her by refilling or for smaller meals and yogurt though.) Finally, it is both lead and phthalate-free!
Edited to add after talking with Barbara: In the works but not available at this time is a larger bowl. Until that is available, I highly recommend you buy the Baby Dipper I have reviewed and refill it the way we do. It will be some time before the bigger bowl is available and I don’t want you to miss out on this great product!
Toddlers learning to feed themselves would benefit from this as well! They have enough problems working their spoon but with a bowl moving around, it is a struggle for sure. Well, with Baby Dipper, they only need one hand to eat!
I have a free hand now when I am feeding Joley… a free hand to do a million other things that need to be done in my crazy household.
Would you like to enjoy the freedom of one-handed feeding? You can purchase the Baby Dipper for only $9.99! You can visit Baby Dipper on Facebook to learn about the product and be alerted to new promotions as well.

I love the non slip bottom – but also that it's cobalt blue. That's one of my favorite colors!

I like the one corner being lower. My daughter is getting pretty good with a spoon but there is always a good amount left over that I have to feed to her.
