BusyBodyBook Organizer review/giveaway! 3 Winners!!! {{{CLOSED}}}

I am a busy mom. Every day I have the schedules of 7 people to keep track of and my own school assignments. I used to have a great memory that is now somehow lacking but I don’t even think that could save me with this many people. Which kid is off school on which day? Does Johnny have Sunday school this week? When is my Informatics assignment due? When does Joley have her next appointment? When is that Twitter party I want to attend? (you all know I am addicted to Twitter, right?)

With all I need to remember, I need a calendar/organizer to keep it all together in one place. I need a miracle. Well friends, I found my miracle in the form of BusyBodyBook Family organizers! I was sent a Personal and Family organizer and a Wall Calendar to review and I have been using them for awhile. The first thing I noticed is how cute they are with modern designs. If I am going to have an organizer with me all the time, I want it to look good!

I am in love with my BusyBodyBook Family Organizer. It is 7″x10″ big and has a nice hard cover so that it doesn’t get bent up when handled by me or my kids. There are 5 columns (the BBB Grid Format) across the top that can be filled in to whatever you need (ie. kids, school, appointments, meal planning, household projects, etc.). Each page is one full week with an entire blank page to the left to write things like a to-do list or little notes to yourself. I have written directions there as well when I had somewhere to go; everything in one place! In addition, there are pockets in the front and back of the calendar and it comes with a handy bookmark.

One other thing that I think this would be great for is for a school schedule (you can buy them in school year or calendar year). Mine has 2 columns designated for school but I can see this being very beneficial for a middle or high school student who has a full schedule. They could clearly see when assignments are due with this fantastic organizer. I will be buying another when necessary because I have gotten used to updating and counting on it for my plans. The personal/family organizer is priced at $17.95.

With the BusyBodyBook wall calendar, you have even greater access to information. You can hang this in your kitchen and the entire family can be represented and know what is happening in your household. The wall calendar has 7 columns so even big families like mine have room to coordinate our schedules. Each page is one week and you can hang the calendar to view one or two weeks at a time. There are contact pages and even a folder at the back to keep important papers. This has taken me longer to get used to using. I found it beneficial to tackle one month at a time with the wall calendar and to remind my family to keep looking at it. I think if we keep with it longer, it will become much more useful for our family as everyone gets accustomed to it being the go-to place for information.

Here is my one obstacle with the wall calendar… with the lower week, you can hang by this nifty little hook, but for the upper calendar week, you have to hang from the holes (it would be upside down if you used the hook). There are two holes at the top so I can’t have just one nail for the whole thing. I would like for the calendar to have one hole in the middle so that it can be hung by the same nail for each week. That said, this is simply just a matter of preference, does not affect the function of the calendar in any way, and only is a dilemma if you want to do weekly views. I have decided to just do the two week view and it doesn’t affect how much I enjoy the usefulness of the calendar nor would it stop me from buying another/recommending it to others. I spoke with Joan about this and the reason there are two holes at the time is that it makes it more sturdy since there is no calendar swinging. That makes sense to me and I would rather have a calendar that lasts for sure than one that busts! The wall calendar sells for $14.95.
