These are my now infamous Gooey Butter Cookies. I received this recipe years ago (like over 10 probably) when I worked for the state and have held onto it ever since. We make them a few times a year and all I have to say about them is that they are incredible! Oh my, so good.

Gooey Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 stick of margarine
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 stick of margarine
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Mix the above ingredients together
Add 1 box of yellow butter recipe cake mix
Chill the dough for 4 hours or preferably overnight.
Roll dough into balls
Roll in powdered sugar
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Be prepared to gain some weight. Seriously.
