Curious Chef Review and Giveaway

by Stefany on January 22, 2010

curious chef
My kids love to help in the kitchen. Mackenzie is the one that would cook all meals with me if I let her. There are times that I have put her off or gave her tasks to do that she didn’t think were all that fun because I was worried about her safety. I have always kept her from cutting with knives especially.

Therefore, when I heard about Curious Chef, I was so happy to review one of their fantastic products. Curious Chef offers kid-sized (not toy-sized!) utensils so your budding chef will be able to be an integral part of the cooking process. No longer having to do menial tasks, your child can jump right in with the whole project (excluding heat, of course!).

The utensils are not toys.  They are working tools for your child to use to help you.  All products comply with all relevant standards including the CPSC lead and phthalate (BPA) limits.  They are age appropriate for children 5+.  No longer having to be concerned with cutting fingers, your kiddo can cut the veggies to go into your special recipe. Helping out in the kitchen often leads children to try more foods… if they create it, they want to eat it!

curious chef, pizza kitWe received the 5 Piece Pizza kit for review. I love these utensils. They are perfect size for my daughter’s hands and they feel good to hold. They don’t feel like something my 3 year old would play with. Check out the Nylon Pizza Cutter. It is sharp enough to cut food, yet safe enough to be used by my kids.  The tomato Cutting Board is not only cute, but also functional.  I personally love the Large Silicone Mixing Spatula.

You can buy kits if you like or you can buy individual items.  They have something you can use for any recipe.  Making cookies?  You will find utensils for that!  Making ice cream sundaes?  You will find utensils for that!  You can build your kitchen with Build-A-Kitchen Sets or buy Gift Kits for a special kiddo that has aspirations to be a chef or baker.

Cooking and baking is fun and a great way to spend time with your kids.  That is why I love Curious Chef.  Now, my kids can help me and I don’t have to be so worried about them hurting themselves.  Of course, I still teach them about safety measures when cooking, but the overall fear is less because of these fantastic products.  They feel like they are part of what I am doing and can actually help throughout the whole process!  Be sure to find out where you can purchase Curious Chef products both in-person and online!

I am very thankful to Curious Chef for offering a giveaway as well!  You can win a 3qt bowl from Curious Chef.  It is dishwasher safe and has a no-skid bottom that is perfect for when your kiddo is stirring those special mixes for you!

My little cook would love all these products. I would especially love to get her the Build-A-Kitchen Sets: 8 Pc Cutlery & Serving Set. She is always trying to “help” in the kitchen and I do not want her anywhere around knives! This would be great!
