AC/DC Backtracks box set

Our family loves music. From our 1 year old to my husband, we all love music. Now, I will be the first to admit that the music tastes range from person to person but one thing we all seem to have in common is the love of good classic music. We were recently given the chance to review two box sets that are nothing less than good classic music.

I mentioned the first box set in this post. The second box set we received was Backtracks by AC/DC. AC/DC recorded together for 35 years, the group had many hits as well as sought-after tracks. Backtracks is a collection of 12 of the band’s studio rarities and 15 live rarities. Included are the highly sought-after “Cold Hearted Man,” “Rock In Peace” and “Borrowed Time”. Also features “Big Gun” – never before on any AC/DC album! Also included besides the two CDs is a DVD. “The third disc brings the million-selling Family Jewels franchise up to date, covering 1993’s “Big Gun” through 2009’s “Anything Goes”. Also included are rare alternate videos for 4 songs as well as the promo clips for the LIVE album AND the previously unreleased “Guns For Hire” for your enjoyment.

My husband really enjoyed this set. Backtracks includes songs that he has loved for many years as well as some newer tracks. He enjoyed reading through the book included in the Backtracks set that chronicled the group from the beginning until currently. He enjoyed seeing some of the old videos that he remembered from years past. When I asked him for his final thoughts on the CD/DVD set Backtracks by AC/DC he told me this: “It’s AC/DC. Enough said. They rock!” I will take that as he likes it.
