Our family loves music.  From our 1 year old to my husband, we all love music.  Now, I will be the first to admit that the music tastes range from person to person but one thing we all seem to have in common is the love of good classic music.  We were recently given the chance to review two box sets that are nothing less than good classic music.

The first set we received was Do What You Want, Be What You Are: The Music of Daryl Hall and John Oates.  Daryl Hall and John Oates made up Hall and Oates, “the most successful pop music duo of all time”.  They have no less than 22 Billboard Top 20 singles, including six number ones, six platinum albums (sales of more than one million copies) plus another six gold LPs (sales of more than 500,000 units).  Spanning the years from 1966 to 2009, the box set Do What You Want, Be What You Are, is a collection of 74 singles from 7 different labels on 4 discs!   The set released on October 6, 2009, also includes 16 previously unreleased tracks, including live performances and some never before heard songs and remixes.

My husband is the person that really enjoyed this set the most.  He found that he was really surprised at how many great hits that Hall and Oates had that he didn’t even realize.  He loved that there was a great collection of music all in one set.  He also liked the book that came with the set that discusses their career and a little blurb about each song included.  You can purchase this great box set from Amazon.com.
