WFMW: Meal Planning

SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH E-MEALZ MEAL PLANSAs many of you know, I have been in Financial Peace University for a few weeks now.  One thing I am working on is getting control of our food budget.  With a house of 7, it can be difficult to decide what to feed everyone and how to do it for a reasonable cost.  While looking through some stuff, I came across a website that I think is absolutely fantastic, so good in fact, that I have to share.  This is so good that even Dave Ramsey himself recommends it!

E-MEALZ is a meal planning site that offers you more than you can imagine.  I need to shop for the cheapest groceries possible.  My choices are, therefore, either Walmart or Aldi.  I choose Aldi for the best prices.  E-Mealz allows me to shop at Aldi on a strict budget ($60-75/week).  Each Tuesday I log in to the Member’s area and pull up my Aldi shopping plan for the week.  I am given a printout that includes 7 meals, including sides, and a shopping list separated by section of the store.  The shopping trip for the past week was so easy and very close to what it said we would spend.

The meal I made tonight was so yummy and it was good for us too!  I got almost my entire family to eat spinach!  I can’t tell you how amazing that is.  It was very easy to make too, as are all the meals.  You will get the recipe for each meal on the list itself so anyone who can cook can make the meals!  The meal plans are set to be family-friendly.  You can find meal plans for several different stores, including Kroger, Publix, Walmart, Aldi, Ralphs, or any store (not specific).  You can also get special diets such as low carb, low fat, points system, and vegetarian.  You can choose to get a meal plan for 5 meals for 2 people or 7 meals for 4-6 people. Finally, you can find a vacation menu and an Easter menu (available now!).

There is a plan available for anyone.  For a low price of $1.25 a week, it can’t be beat.  I know it has eliminated a lot of the stress of planning meals and the act of grocery shopping.  Now, I can just print off the meal plan, make any changes that we want, and take the list to the store.  It really is so easy and has been a blessing to me.  I now have extra time with my family that I would have spent on planning and shopping and we are saving money in the process!

By the way, I am in no way being paid or compensated for this post (although I am an affiliate because I LOVE IT).  E-MEALZ doesn’t even know about me or this post.  I am sharing this with you because I think it is such a good idea…. it works for me!

If you have anything that works for you, be sure to head over to We Are THAT Family and link up for Works For Me Wednesday!

I have heard about e-mealz but have such a hard time justifying the cost. But when I hear such great things about it, (and Dave Ramsey recommends it) I know I just need to try it.

Thanks for stopping by and entering my giveaway. Good luck!

Yeah, I did too (about justifying the cost) but I figured I would give it a go for 3 months. I am sold! It is so great! Let me know if you try it and what you think.

Me too Karie! It led to several headaches and even some arguments. This is so great… even Mike can do it because it gives you the recipe for each meal!
