My stepdaughter, Mackenzie turned 10 today! I put a cupcake in her lunchbox with a card that she found at lunch. Each year, I try to make something special for the kids for their birthday. Mason had a skateboard cake last year, Tayler a Hello Kitty, and Kenzie a rainbow. I keep raising the bar (so to speak) and have to come up with new ideas. I am not a pro by any means, but I do try. This year, for Kenzie, I decided to do cake in cones. I read about them at House of Hepworth’s and thought it was too cute!
I wrapped her presents while she was at school today. I went girly this year because my girl is becoming quite girly as she gets older.
I added some sprinkles to the cupcakes in cones and made them into how old she is this year.
We sang and ate. The kids thought these were so cool. I love them because they weren’t very messy! Kenzie enjoyed them a lot because they were new and different, just for her!
Happy Birthday to my girl! I know I am not your “real” mom but I love you as such and am so happy to have you as my daughter. You become more like me with each passing day and I couldn’t be happier to have you in my life.
