Mason and Kenzie went back to school last week. While I did miss the first day, I made them stand still for pics on the second. Sadly, someone has been messing with my camera so these are a bit blurry (focus was on the tree behind the kids ugh!) and I didn’t realize until it was too late. They were not cooperating and it was a big pain to even get these so they will have to do. I guess it doesn’t matter much. I only like these pics to see how much the kids change over the course of the year. It would have been nice to have one good picture though. sigh…
ETA: My kids are in elementary school. Our school district has the elementary kids going year round… that is why they go back already.

The elementary level goes year round here.
You must be year round if they’re already going back. Does that make them bummed in the summer? I had my college age daughter do her Freshman year 1st day of school last year. I know my girl will do it again for her mama this year. =)

They have been doing it for years so it doesn’t bother them much. Summer went by pretty quickly this year but normally they are ready to go back. They like to have longer breaks in the year.

Back to school already? When did you guys get out? April? Or do you have one of those modified year round school calendars? I thought the whole point of summer was to be out when it was hottest?! Where I live these past two weeks have been the hottest EVER! Like record breaking temps. Matter of fact, two weeks ago, my city was award the inglorious title of being the hottest city in the nation. Lucky. Me. Hope you catch a good shot sometime this week!

i didn’t realize there were places in missouri that went year round.
it’s something i’ve been moving toward as a homeschooling mama.
seems like it would give more leeway for doing things all year long.

Looks great to me! I can see their faces fine, their are cute! I have had simple point & shoot cameras all my life and never really had people that would sit still for pics so I just shoot & pray, so if I get someone with a half mouthful of food or screwy look on their face, I guess it adds to the appeal
I never claimed to be a pro.. but then I am not in many photos (hated my pic taken) but now that I would like it taken with my grandsons, they can’t sit still (reminds me vaguely of someone??) so I get let out again! LOL! so point is, your kids are adorable!

Do you like year round? I never liked it. When my kids were in school they did it for awhile. You had to do year round in order to get money for building. At least you have a photo.
