If by jingle in my pocket you mean Christmas joy, I try to donate extra money off my groceries when I can as well as clothes, toys, etc.

I try to keep to a list I keep with me, listing each person on my list and budget to spend on them. I look for clearance and sale items. I also like to compare prices on the internet and in sale papers.

I work a very part time job, buy a lot of things used from garage sales or on clearance, and make whatever I can from scratch at home!

I use competitor’s sale papers/ads to comp the prices,along with coupons. I also save change, therefore, at the end of the month I have some more money to care for my 4 kiddies.

I save my change and then roll it up at Christmas time. This year I had over $300. I also shop clearance isles all year looking for awesome deals on toys for the kids.

I shop carefully then when I do buy an item, I watch to see if it goes on sale for less in the following weeks. If it does, most stores will refund the difference with a receipt.

Something that has been surprisingly successful for me is selling things I no longer use or never used on eBay and craiglist. I prefer eBay because the buyers are serious, as opposed to numerous no shows from Craigslist.
