Everyone always says it… how did my baby get so big? Where did the time go? I too am saying these words today. My baby girl is 3 years old.
Three.Years.Old.
It truly doesn’t feel like it has been 3 years since I went to the hospital for high blood pressure only to deliver her later that night. It truly doesn’t feel like she could be this little person with a fantastic personality. She is no longer my little baby. She is my big girl!
We are coming up on 2 years since I she scared us all and we were afraid we were going to lose her. That seems like just yesterday. But, she has come so far since that time. We were worried she would have long-term problems from what happened. She has asthma but is otherwise unfazed.
Her health is better. She is so incredibly smart. She is super funny and has the best manners of any 3 year old I have seen. She is kind. Β She loves with all her heart. She is always giving hugs and kisses… to me and “her puppy”. She loves animals.
She has a temper. Boy, does she have a temper. She will stomp her foot and cross her arms, staying “humph” the whole time. She doesn’t give in and is stubborn when she wants to say or do something.
She is beautiful… like breathtaking beautiful. I am so very blessed that she is my baby. She will always be my *baby*. She told me today that she is “mommy’s baby” when I told her she is getting big. She knows that her mommy will always love her “baby girl”.
At 3 years old, this is what Jemma likes…
She likes to watch… Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Strawberry Shortcake, Sofia the First, and Winx Club
She likes to listen to… Taylor Swift, Shake it Off (see her dancing here), alphabet song, her own “Jemma and she knows it” song
She likes to play with… dolls, purses, dress up, and computers (she “works” when I do)
She likes to do… play soccer, play outside, sing and dance, play with our dogs, hang out with her mommy (she says I am her best friend and I couldn’t be happier)
She likes to eat… sweets, pizza, cheese, yogurt, chips, popcorn. She wants to eat McDonald’s any time you ask her where to eat.
She likes to drink… lemonade whenever she can, water, and she loves her morning glass of milk.
Happy Birthday Baby Jemma! You are the most amazing little girl and I love you more than I could ever tell you.Β

Awww how sweet! My toddler turns 3 in just a few short months as well and I can’t wait for the day when it happens. These are such fun years.
I forget how close ours are in age. π It certainly is a good age. They are still babies but growing into their own person.
