By now, you are probably aware of the dangers of putting infants to bed with blankets. For both of my children, I was not willing to take any chances and bundled them up in thick sleepers and swaddles when they were babies. But, swaddles come off and there are only so many sleepers I have that can fit the bill of keeping my little one warm. The temperature of the baby’s room is supposed to be a cool temperature (66 to 74 degrees Fahrenheit) but that doesn’t mean that baby should go to bed only to have cold legs and feet. In addition, my house specifically can get very chilly in the winter time. There has to be a happy-medium here! Once my kiddos were a bit older, I found they were kicking their blankets off and woke up cold often. I was at a loss of what to do until I discovered other options.
Baby DeeDee Sleep Nests take the pressure away of how to keep a baby warm in a safe way. No longer do you need to stress about how to keep baby comfortable and can set your mind at ease at the same time. Baby DeeDee Sleep Nests are for newborns through 36 months (or 10-35 pounds). These are for little ones who are crib bound. Baby DeeDee recommends weight and height specifications (near the bottom of the page) for each size.
What I love about the Baby DeeDee is the ease of use. With a glow-in-the-dark zipper (on some designs) and snap closures on the shoulders, changing diapers in the middle of the night is a dream (and we all know how much we like ease in the middle of the night). You can put as much or as little clothes on the baby as you feel necessary (if your house is warmer, maybe just a onesie… cooler, add a sleeper). That decision is entirely up to you. But, Baby DeeDee Sleep Nests make baby comfort a dream come true. I love the soft fabric (breathable too), soothing colors, and great price.Continue Reading and Enter to WIN a Baby DeeDee Sleep Nest” />
We were sent an adorable Sleep Nest Lite for review. Just an FYI, the Sleep Nest Lite is made in the USA! I chose to review the Sleep Nest Lite because I personally prefer to layer clothes on my little one and it is made for warmer climates. I think it will be perfect for Jemma when she is born as it will still be warm here. Once winter comes, I can put her in a onesie and a sleeper too if she is too cold. The Sleep Nest is made for cooler climates and would be great for those that have frigid temps in their homes at night or who choose to not put as much clothes on their little one. I recommend you make a decision based on your own personal preference.
The Sleep Nest Lite retails for $33 for the small size (what I recieved), $35 for medium and $38 for large. The Sleep Nest is $36 for small, $39 for medium and $48 for size large. For peace of mind, I think that is a great price!
I would recommend these as perfect gifts for a new mom, at a baby shower, or for any mom who is safety-conscious. I am sure she would love the adorable Baby DeeDee Sleep Nest or Sleep Nest Lite for her little one. Don’t forget about toddlers though.
