Faith is an amazing thing. I always feel such awe for those that feel the presence of our Lord in their lives on a regular basis. After reading the book The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven, I am amazed at the faith of a young boy, Alex Malarkey.
This book is the account of Alex written by his father. Alex and his father, Kevin, were in a car accident. Alex was critically injured. He was paralyzed and his parents were told that he would not survive. Their faith kept them hopeful and they believed their son would be okay. Two months after the accident, Alex came out of his coma with an amazing story.
Alex has vivid and detailed accounts of what happened at the accident site, what happened afterward, and what continues to happen in his life. You can see Jesus Christ and Heaven through Alex’s eyes and it is an amazing journey. There were times while reading this book that I had chills because of the love of God he has. His unending faith is just amazing to me.
Alex shares about talking directly to Jesus, angels, and visiting heaven. There are parts of his journey he won’t tell his parents because he was told not to. He feels the presence of angels and can tell his parents of their presence. He knows that Jesus kept him safe in his arms when he most needed it. He knows that Jesus is still around him every day and has an amazing amount of love and insight to share.
If you are looking for an inspirational read, I recommend this book. Reading it knowing it is the words of a young boy make this book even more inspiring to me. It is best stated by the publicist in this statement: “As you see Heaven and earth through Alex’s eyes, you’ll come away with new insights on miracles, life beyond this world, and the power of a father’s love
