I just received an email with the latest and greatest bargain shopping news! Old Navy flip-flops are going to be on sale this weekend for $1 a pair. I remember this sale last year and I wasn’t even part of it. There was a line out the door and people often left empty-handed because the size they wanted were gone. Old Navy did this with tee-shirts or something else too and it was the same situation.
The same thing is true for Black Friday sales. Standing in line and waiting for hours to get one or two things seems crazy to me. I admit that we have participated in Black Friday sales when we really wanted things but it usually had to be a store that had multiple things in the ad we were wanting and it was pre-kids! I have not been to a Black Friday sale in years though. Mike went the year I was pregnant with Joley. I was sick in bed and he was at the store picking up things for the kids. Crazy.
It has me wondering though… are you a dedicated bargain shopper? Will you brave the crowds for that “great deal” or would you prefer to just wait and pay more for something? Honestly, I would rather pay $2.50 for a pair of flip-flops than deal with the chaos of Old Navy during their dollar sale. What about you?

It totally depends on what it is. I do love a good bargain, it’s like a fix sometimes. But other times just not worth it. Ya know?
