I have all kinds of randomness to tell you guys so I am going to make it easy and do Friday Fragments. Click on the button above to visit and link up yourself!
The cell phone debacle is solved. US Cellular was of no help but my hubby called and found a Blackberry Tour at a local store. Amazing since we had 3 people from US Cellular supposedly looking for one and couldn’t find it. Hubs found it on his second phone call. hmmm Anyway, I am now the proud owner of a slightly (can’t tell) used Tour and I love it. I am having no problems that I had with my Curve. It runs all day just perfectly. Thanks especially to my friend Ashlee for helping me through the folder issue. I am a pro once again.
I am also the proud owner of a Kindle. My husband surprised me with it last week. I have already read 2 books on it! It is very easy to read off of and is totally worth the cost. I haven’t spent a dime on books yet. There are tons of free books that are good!
School is really odd this semester. I have heard very little from one of my teachers and the class is supposed to be more interactive than others. I worry I have missed something but have checked both websites we are supposed to use and still see nothing. I already want this semester to be over.
I received a very interesting call this morning. It started off very wrong though because the person on the other end called me by my husband’s ex name. That is a big NO-NO! She quickly clarified who she was and what she wanted. You see, the person on the other line was the ex-wife of the man married to my husband’s ex-wife. Did you follow that? No? My husband’s ex-wife is married to someone new. That man’s ex-wife called me. Better? Well, she was calling to inform me that psycho ex and her husband have claimed her daughter on their taxes and they weren’t supposed to. If you haven’t been following me that long, this same thing happened last year to us. So, it is highly likely that they filed with our kids again this year even though legally they have no rights to do so. What does this mean? We can’t electronically file and have to wait at least 6-8 weeks to get our refund. We were told last year that the IRS would catch up with them and they would have to pay back but I am guessing that didn’t happen. Either that or it did happen and they aren’t claiming our kids this year because they got caught and are only claiming the other child. What a freaking mess! I am hoping karma catches up to hubs’ ex and her husband very soon. By the way, that may be confusing but I call my husband’s kids (my stepkids) mine… because, well they pretty much are. Only one still visits the psycho ex. The other two haven’t seen her in over a year. They live with us full-time and I am “mom” most days anyway, so they are “our” kids even if they are only “his” kids.
Joley is walking now. She is still going back and forth but is at the point now that she will just take off and walk. I will try to get a video up for you guys soon.
Johnny is fighting potty training. I am ready for it to be done. He is going to be 4 in April. It is time.
I am sick. My babies are both sick with runny noses. I am about ready to lose my mind with all the whining going on in this house. Really. I need a vacation. Who is paying and where are we going?

Kyle was 3.5 when I finally decided that new-school potty training and old-school potty training needed to meet. (I should really write a post about that.) Especially when you bring a new baby home and change the diaper of your three year old, it kind of hits home, right?!
How sweet of your husband to buy you such a thoughtful gift 🙂
People like that (who would be so underhanded with the taxes) are unbelievable. She’ll get hers…

Whooohooo on the Tour! I LOVE mine, and I’m so glad I didn’t go with the Curve.
Sorry about the drama with the taxes and the ex. We are dealing with the same thing, but after a talk with a local IRS agent, we are feeling a better about the documents we are turning in. I’ll wait the 6 weeks (not that I want to…at all) to make sure that all is straightened out. Karma is a bitch, no?
YAY for Joley walking!! They grow so darn fast!! 🙁
I’m sending potty vibes to Johnny! Poor guy needs to give his mama a break!
I hope everyone is feeling better!

How old is Joley now? D has no interest in walking yet. We’re still having PTing issues. Luckily C isn’t even 3 yet. Yay for the phone and Kindle.
Michaela says
Yay for the new phone and for the Kindle (am totally jealous about that!!) and a walking Joley!!
Sorry to hear about all of the other things… your husbands ex and her new husband really sound like a piece of work! Sorry to hear that you may be going through the same crap as last year (though I’m hoping for you that they only tried that stunt on his ex this year!).
I’ll send potty training thoughts over your way and hope that it gets easier with Johnny.

Maybe the ex’s can pay for your much needed vacation with that tax break money they are scamming.
I hope everyone feels healthy soon.

I needed a road map to keep up with the who’s who story! I’m afraid I was lost. But it doesn’t sound good.
Happy Friday.
Dina says
Way to go, Jolie!
Hope you’re feeling better ASAP.

Kind of scary and maddening about the ex claiming the kids in taxes.
Boys can’t whine! That’s why I had boys instead of girls!
I told my boys that only ONE person in the house can whine at a time……….and it was going to be me. 😉
Happy Friday!

Ufta to the ex and taxes drama..
I’m allergic to whining. I tell my son that all the time. I also tell him I can’t hear him if he doesn’t talk like a big boy. Makes me want to jump out of a window.
Thanks for stopping by, following now.
