I hate to complain but this time, I feel if I don’t, I am going to burst!
I have been sick for over a week. This is not pregnancy sickness although that is still happening. This is my-kids-got-me-sick sickness. It started with a cough, turned to a sore throat, then a cold and now I have a nasty earache with fullness in my ears too. I still have sinus drainage and just want to feel better.
My OB called in antibiotics for me and I have been taking Sudafed. I am ready to get back to life without feeling like I am going to fall over and not hear what is going on around me. I know that there have been a lot of sick people this winter. In fact, I know very few that have gotten by without having some form of illness.
Being pregnant sure throws a monkey wrench into things though. I am so limited on the meds I can take and the ones I am taking sure aren’t doing the trick. Cross your fingers for me that I get well soon!
This is the first day of Spring and I am so glad. Did any of you make it through the winter season without getting sick? If you did, I want your tips on how you managed that. We wash hands, sanitize toys, etc but it still happened.

So sorry your not feeling well. Feel better soon. ((HUGS))

I pray the medications work for you and don’t bother baby on board.
Nasty respiratory viruses that hang on and then turn into bacterial infections through raw tissues related to constant running noses (forward and back) are such a drag.
I had the flu shot, but hubby didn’t. He brought a virus home. He was only sick with it for about a day and a half. I wish I had his strong immune system. Me, well I’ve been sick for two weeks because unfortunately this must have not been one of the viruses the flu vaccine was targeted against.
I’m starting to feel better now though since I got the real original Sudaphed medicine. Where I live you have to get it from the pharmacist because the stuff on the shelves is what they replaced the original sudaphed with when they pulled the med off the shelves because of people making meth out of it.
You have to sign your name and address and everything to get it from the pharmacist, but it’s worth it, because at least it works.
I feel like I need to sit out in 75 degree weather with nice sunshine beaming down on me to help finish baking this bug out of me. Hopefully I can do that tomorrow, though it looks like rain is headed this way.
Taking lots of vitamins, and drinking orange juice to try and boost my system. I hope your immune system kicks in and kicks your bug out on its’ behind.

Oh, orange juice. Normally I would be all over that but it gives me horrible heartburn. LOL I am still sick but hoping that it gets better soon.

I feel for you!! We’ve had enough sickness in our house this past winter… in fact it started in September. I’m hoping that we’re done with it and I hope that you soon will be too!
Stefany says
Thanks. I am so ready to just feel normal… or at least normal pregnancy versus pregnant and sick.

Oh, I feel for you! I had that with my first pregnancy and it is awful as you are so limited on what you can take and then what you do take doesn’t work. I hope you are able to stay hydrated and get some rest (I know, nearly impossible with other kids, but please do try!!)
This has been the worst year I’ve seen for sickness. We’ve had everything twice or more except pink eye so far and I’ve sanitized toys, door knobs, phones, keyboards, etc. sanitized hands, stayed away from public play areas and we still seem to keep getting sick(:
the humidifors going and using nasal spray does seem to help us. thinking of you and hope your feeling better soon!
Stefany says
It seems impossible to keep everyone healthy. 🙁

Oh, woman! Good luck! Nothing the doc prescribed me helped with mine. Just had to write it out until I’ve gotten further along enough recently that it’s resolved itself.
Stefany says
Ugh… I am so not wanting to ride it out. I have been sick for almost 2 weeks!
