School is starting again for me next week. I don’t order my non-nursing textbooks from my school because they are too expensive. I went online and ordered the two books I need for my Anthropology class. One of them arrived today and it was super fast. The other was shipping from Thailand and wasn’t expected until the 23rd… which would have been late for the start of classes but okay.
DHL called me today. I was a bit taken back because I had no idea what the woman was talking about. She asked me if I ordered a textbook through DHL. At first I stuttered to answer because I really didn’t expect to hear anything about that second book. But, she told me that DHL has a textbook to deliver to me. They are calling all people that are expecting textbooks from them to make sure they get them as quickly as possible.
She told me that my book requires a signature and they don’t want me to have to wait. They appreciate that school is starting again which was shocking to me to begin with. But, she told me that if I want to make sure I get my book on Thursday or Friday (not sure if this week or next, but either way it is okay), I need to leave a note on my door stating “DHL please leave my package” with my printed name and signature. She said that DHL will then leave my book for me and I will be able to have my book to start classes.
That is good customer service! They not only cared enough about the semester starting to get the textbook out as quickly as possible, but also took the time to call me to make sure there is no delay. Way to go DHL! You will for sure have my business in the future!

Wow! That is awesome service – much better than Fed-Ex, who took a week to send me an overnight shipment.
