We didn’t have much planned today since Jemma is homebound. I decided to make it special (and possibly start a new tradition). I ordered pizza and we had dinner by candlelight.
The kids had a good time and I even got a “this is the best dinner ever” out of Johnny. Sometimes it really is the little things.
And, just because, I wanted to share some pictures of my little baby girl. It dawned on me today that today is the day I set for a goal to be out of the hospital. I told all the nurses and doctors that I wanted to be home by Valentine’s Day when Jemma was in the ICU. We were told it is doable but they weren’t overly eager to say it would be much sooner than that. Little did they (or we) know how much of a fighter my little girl is. Jemma is now walking, talking, and is getting back to herself. She is off two of her medicines and has less than a week on the last one. I am hopeful that the recovery for her lungs will be just as quick!
And finally, my other baby girl… Joley. She is now 4 years old! Can you believe it?!?!
And Johnny, the one that I have the most trouble getting pictures of. This is actually from December but it is the most recent one I have! I’ll work on it.

I’m so glad you had a great Valentine’s Day and Jemma is getting better. I hope you are too. Nasty boils are no fun.
I worked late and my hubs had a class so we met for a late dinner. It was nice.

Oh what a sweet family pic by candle light! You did better than us. We had McDonald’s in front of the tv. 🙂

It is so wonderful to see baby Jemma up and about and full of life, sharing the day with her siblings and family! God is good! What are they telling you about the condition of her lungs now?

We go back in March for more testing. She will have an xray to see her lungs and then swabs to see if the staph has colonized. We won’t know the full extent of damage for some time though because she is too young to do the tests they need to do (pulmonary function tests).
