My kids love books and reading. With one in Kindergarten, reading is becoming more and more exciting because she is now learning how to read herself. But, there are still so many books that are just too hard for her to do on her own. Whenever possible, I read to my kids. Sometimes though, it is good to have a way that they can be read to, even if I am not able to. Kazaz! App from American Story Channel is just what we need.
Kazaz! offers not only fun stories to read with my kids but also some songs and chances to learn too. A story on Kazaz! is an experience! The interactive stories were a huge hit with Jemma and Joley… and even Johnny liked them. The recommended ages are 3 to 8. Jemma is able to see, hear, and touch (the screen) so it is a great learning tool for her and she can work on fine motor skills!
Kazaz! encourages children not only to read, but to immerse themselves in learning by clicking on gems hidden throughout the app which reveal fun facts with additional information related to the story topic. What does this mean? It means that a 10 minute story can turn into a highly engaging learning experience that lasts for an hour or more! I can create a reading profile for each of my children as there is the option to have 3 profiles.
Children can experience imaginative play with real-life 3D figures based on Kazaz! characters. Families can order print-on-demand collectibles through the Kazaz! Kids web site for an additional fee. Later this fall, families will be able to print a free gift, along with other items at home using their own 3D printers. What else is coming? Kazaz! will take advantage of Apple TV, so in the future the app can be enjoyed on the big screen, where the experience may be amplified with additional sights and sounds. Also coming soon, video versions of the stories will appear on the Kazaz! Kids YouTube Channel.
I was able to sit down and play with the app for some time before my kids took over the iPad. The music in “I Am the Music Man” is catchy and fun. I love how the song can be played OR you can read the book. Either is fun! The voice that reads is clear and pleasant and something I knew my kids would enjoy.
Right now only, October 26th, you can get the I Am the Music Man and The Story of Wooding free!
Anyone will be able to read the book The Magic of Kazaz for free, so even if you don’t get the app downloaded today, you can still enjoy this fun story.
The Kazaz! app is available for the iPad only and is free to download. In case you are wondering, the price for the stories after this free deal are $1.99 and $2.99 so still affordable when you consider you are getting a book and narrator, plus all the fun extras.
Want to know more about the stories you can get currently (more are coming in the future)? Here you go…
The Kazaz! app is free to download for iPad and comes with 3 stories at launch:
o The Magic of Kazaz: Reveals the history of how Kazaz! became a magical planet. This story will always be free.
o I Am the Music Man: Sing along with the Music Man in this hand-clapping, toe-tapping rendition of a classic children’s melody. Free with the Kazaz! app download through October 26th.

As I mentioned above, more is coming from this developer. You won’t want to miss all these exciting changes so be sure to get the Kazaz! app now!

I have a child with multiple health issues and we often travel to see her specialist at the u of m in Michigan and I can see a app like this being a huge hit with my 7 year old daughter she has a rare genetic disorder and mild form of cerebral palsy and a tablet and the apps would be right up her alley. Something to think about adding to her Christmas list.

I like the option for music or reading. Kids love technology as much as adults do, don’t they? It’s truly transgenerational, and your app sounds fun!
