lego kidsfest

It’s been all over the news… the  LEGO® KidsFest is coming to St. Louis. The LEGO KidsFest national tour stops at America’s Center in St. Louis from March 20 – 22, 2015, for the very first time, bringing all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in this three acre activity- and entertainment-packed family event. I have been hearing about it from my kids and husband for weeks. As soon as the ads started to appear on TV, they have been begging to go.

LEGO KidsFest is for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests. That means that my 3 year old… and all the way to my husband… are sure to have a great time!

Among the many LEGO attractions, families will find:
* LEGO Model Museum: walk among the dozens of life-sized models made from LEGO bricks
* LEGO Ninjago: spin the way to being a Spinjitzu member
* LEGO Mindstorms: play with programmed robots and snakes
* LEGO Movie: help Emmet and Lucy conquer the bad guys
* LEGO Fusion: work with real and virtual bricks in this
* Race Ramps: build a custom car, then race it down the ramp against friends and family
* Creation Nation: construct a creation to add to a custom map of the U.S.
* Construction Zone: enjoy a creative build, play, and display area
* LEGO DUPLO: explore imagination through building for the younger set
* LEGO Retail: purchase LEGO merchandise and official KidsFest tour goods
* Big Brick Pile: build and have fun in a gigantic pile full of LEGO bricks for creative play and enjoyment
* Monochromatic Builds: construct buildings and more using bricks of a single color to foster group creativity
* LEGO Disney Princess: create and build a fairytale through LEGO bricks
* LEGO Friends: build for the five empowered friends from Heartlake City

“Any family who likes to be inspired, get hands-on and have fun together won’t want to miss LEGO KidsFest,” said Vince Rubino, LEGO Events Manager. “We’re bringing so many activities for families in the St. Louis area to test and showcase their creativity and building skills in what is sure to be a family event to remember.”

We’ve been wanting to go to this. It has circled through Detroit a few times. It always seems like something comes up, though. We love Lego at our house. Our basement has tables all over with Lego cities and stuff built.

That looks like it would be a lot of fun! My daughter just turned 3 and is not quite into Legos yet. I think she would still enjoy it though.

Goodness, this looks neat! We actually have “LegoLand” about 45 minutes away from us, and have lots of friends (with kids) who have season passes! I will share this post with them 🙂

This sounds like so much fun and is a great bonding experience for kids and their Dads (and their Moms too if they like playing with Legos). I don’t live near there or O would tell people in my area to go there–maybe it will come to near where I live eventually.
