Happy Earth Day! I remember as a kid how we would always get a tree to plant on Earth Day. We learned about recycling and saving our planet each year and had big goals and expectations for the upcoming year. As an adult, we can all take those same challenges and do something about it. We can start with Marcal Small Steps products.
Since 1950, Marcal has been working to help families take small steps to make a difference for our planet. They do this by creating affordable paper products that are good for the earth! Marcal Small Steps products are made with 100% Premium Recycled Materials. “Most of the recycled paper used by Marcal comes from Township and Collection Agencies, and is primarily made up of used magazines, bulk mailings (junk mail), office paper waste and computer print-outs, in addition to scraps or trimmings from printers which would otherwise end up in landfills.” Plus, they are safe for your entire family- Marcal “100% premium recycled eco-friendly products are hypoallergenic, virtually lint free, and whitened without chlorine bleaching.”
Did you know that if every US family switched just one of their paper purchases to Marcal Small Steps, together we could Save 1 Million trees? Really, is that asking too much? Why don’t you check out this great Save a Tree calculator and see how many trees your family could save in a year’s time. You might be surprised!
We were sent various paper products from Marcal to try with our large family. We can go through a lot of paper products, as you can imagine. The two-ply toilet paper is softer than another brand we have been using and thicker. I especially like that it is lint-free (helpful especially with potty training kiddos!). The paper towels are a perfect size for little and big spills. They are super absorbent and do a great job with our many mishaps. The napkins not only work great and are a good size, but the packaging is great too. No longer do I have napkins opened up with nowhere to go with them. The packaging allows the napkins to stay in one place and sealed too. Finally, the facial tissue is not as soft as we normally use but is in no way uncomfortable or something I would avoid. In being able to help the environment, I think the less-soft tissues are well worth it! Plus, they are lint-free as well!
I would recommend Marcal Small Steps products to anyone looking to buy paper products and help save their environment. We need to think about our children and all those that come after them. It is our responsibility to keep our planet clean and Marcal Small Steps is a great way to start! Find a store near you and start making a difference today!
Thanks to Marcal Small Steps, I have a Marcal starter kit to give one of you! This retails for $25 and is a great way to give Marcal products a try!

What we do everyday to make a difference for our planet is we recycle. We recycle all we can…paper, plastic, aluminum, batteries. I only do full loads of laundry (and wash in cold water often) and only run the dishwasher when full. Thanks!

We make our life greener by regularly recycling everything possible. We also use CFLs, Energy Star appliances, and reusable shopping bags. We combine driving trips to save mileage — and turn things like lights off when not in use. *Thanks* for the giveaway!
