I started walking and working out on Fabruary 4, 2008… kinda a late New Year’s Resolution. Over those 3 weeks, I have walked a total of 19 miles. Since August, I have lost about 30-35 pounds. I want to lose a lot more though so I thought I would try to walk daily and workout (see Carmen Electra blog for more info on that). I exercise 4 or 5 days a week in addition to the walking.
I tell myself that I will take a break every week and not workout but it doesn’t really work that way. It is like a tension release for me. If I get angry or stressed, I walk. If I feel sick, I walk. If I just feel like I want to move, I walk. I love it. I even have the kids read their books for homework to me while I walk. Generally, I walk between a half and full mile a day. I have only gone 2 days the past 3 weeks without doing something as far as working out.
I am really proud of myself. I think my clothes are getting loose, but no more weight is coming off yet. Must be losing inches, right? Wishful thinking probably… but I will keep wishing so I don’t give up.
