As a nurse, I am all for honoring nurses that make a difference in our lives. As a mom, I can think of a few nurses along the way that have made a difference in the life of myself and my babies. One specifically was by my side the whole time I had my son. She was there for me before his birth, during his birth, and was a great source of help to me after his birth too. Those nurses that make a difference on our lives really can make a lasting impression. Thanks to Pampers, we now have a chance to honor those nurses that helped make life #betterforbaby.
Between now and December 14, 2015 at 3pm EST, you can nominate a nurse in Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and/or Postpartum that made a difference in the life of your baby. What happens for them? They will be honored with a short documentary about themselves and their work, receive a one-year membership to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), attendance to the 2016 AWHONN Convention, Proctor and Gamble care packages, and more! In honor of these three nurses, 3 Pampers Swaddlers scholarships will be made available to help nurses from underrepresented groups complete the studies toward a MSN degree! How amazing is that?!? I know that is a huge gift to some nurses!
I encourage you to nominate a nurse that made a difference in the life of your baby. Trust me when I say that nurses aren’t recognized enough for what they do. So, if you had a nurse that truly touched your life, now is the time to recognize them!
