There are many, many things I like about blogging. This next post is one of my top ten though. I can’t tell you how many laughs we got preparing for this post, how many feet and hands I had to edit out of pictures, and how much my kids and I enjoyed this review. I know it is silly but I strongly encourage you to head to the PetSmart and buy your pets a costume. NOW! Seeing our pets in costume has been so much fun!
PetSmart Halloween Line has so many fun costumes available for your pet. Yeah, they have cats and dogs. You can dress them up as super heroes or fictional characters you and your children know and love. We received a Pirate and Buzz Lightyear costume for Elvis. Now, it is my fault because I really thought an XL would be big enough for my big boy and, well it wasn’t. ha! Elvis is massive. He is almost 80 pounds. I encourage you to find a costume and see if it will fit on your dog or cat! One great thing about PetSmart is that you can bring your pet with you so there is no guessing.
Anyway, we still tried with Elvis. It was worth it to see the smile on my kids’ faces. But, as my dad would say, I think Elvis was embarrassed. These are just two costumes we received but there are over 90 to choose from at PetSmart.
Yeah, that was fun and all but the real fun came when we dressed up our guinea pigs! YES! We dressed up our guinea pigs. Our pigs are named Cupcake and Cookie and they are very well-mannered. Thank goodness for that too because they were very tolerant of our dressing them up. One of the costumes we received was actually two accessories. You don’t have to get an entire costume. You can mix and match your accessories! We received the princess hat and tutu. We think our Princess Cupcake is super cute. What do you think?
Next we got out our two full costumes. We received a pumpkin costume and a witch costume for our pigs. Each had a cape that went around their belly and a hat that either was velcro or elastic. They preferred the witch costume. They told me so. What??? Okay, they were more active with the witch costume on so I am assuming they were more comfortable in it.
Seriously, this was so much fun! You have to get costumes for all your pets, big or little. It is well worth your time to get to the store and the incredible prices won’t break the bank. You can get them at your local store and online NOW for up to 75% off! You really can’t beat that. You can also find fun Halloween-themed toys for your pets. Give it a go and see what you find! Lucy loves her witch-head toy we were sent.
Because it is so late in the season, I am going to offer one US winner a $25 PetSmart gift card to buy whatever you need for your beloved pet. Maybe you need to get your pooch a new sweater for winter or want to get your cat a new scratching post. Hey, maybe you have guinea pigs too and want to buy them a new hay feeder. Whatever you need, PetSmart can provide! PetSmart is where we go for all our pet needs!

I love the guinea pigs, they all look adorable!! Such a cute idea! If I win the petsmart gift card I will be putting it towards a really nice gift to my adorable Pomeranian baby Ella! She is our little princess and now we are expecting our first child, a baby boy. So I would love to get her something nice to show her she’s still our baby!
Awww, that is sweet. I remember each time bringing our kids home to the dog(s). Have you done any research on how to introduce them to each other? I know it sounds crazy but it did help me relax and I think helped us not stress the dogs. Now, the dogs are my kids’ best friends. 🙂 Congrats on your upcoming birth!
Thank you!! We have looked into it, I like the idea of bringing the baby’s blanket into the house first to let the dog smell him before meeting him. She is spoiled, I just hope she will not be super jealous !
We did that and I kept the baby in the carseat until the dog sniffed them. I paid a lot of attention to the dogs while the baby was sitting in the carseat next to me and just let them check out the baby.
I also think that letting the dogs lay around my belly while pregnant helped. I may be crazy (my husband would agree with that lol) but I think they were able to bond a little.
I completely agree with that! Ella curls up on my belly every night! Won’t sleep anywhere else but right on top of it! Haha
My granddaughter has one and they are both getting dressed up for a Halloween contest..So of course I like it!
Awesome! If you take pictures, be sure to share them on my Facebook wall (if you are on Facebook that is).

Guinea pigs are fun! Let me know if you have any questions if you take the plunge into piggy lovin’. 🙂
