One thing that I continually do for myself is paint or design my nails. This simple act makes me feel better each day and it hides my hideous psoriatic nails. But, sometimes I don’t have time to paint them. Base coats, two coats of paint, top coat… well, it can take awhile. So, I started playing around with other options. Here is something I came up with.
All you need are a base coat (I use OPI), base coat (again, OPI) and a permanent marker in color of your choosing. I chose silver for this post but I have used others.
Apply your base coat and let it fully dry (this protects your nail). Color in your tips with the marker. IF you make a mistake, you simply need to use rubbing alcohol to fix it, just do that before the next step! Let your marker dry completely. Apply a top coat over completed nails.
You are finished! Now, if you use your hands for cleaning and things as much as I do, then you may notice that the tips need fixing. I always notice my index finger gets messed up fastest from typing and daily work around the house. The great thing about this method is that fixing them is just as quick and easy as before! Simply fix your nail and apply new top coat. You may want to apply a top coat daily to ward off these issues all together.
