Have you ever heard of Safety Tat temporary ID tattoos? If you have small children, you will want to know more about this wonderful product.
The story of Safety Tat is one that I am sure many parents can relate to:
The idea for SafetyTat child temporary ID tattoos was born of necessity one weekend at an amusement park. On Labor Day Weekend, Michele and her husband, there with their three small children, felt out-numbered. To stave her panic, she quickly wrote her mobile phone number on each of their arms with a ballpoint pen. As she did this, she thoughtfully explained to each of them the importance of staying close to Mommy and Daddy. She also told them that if they were separated that the number on their arm was a way to reconnect with them.
Throughout the day of fun, Michele had to rewrite the number several times as it smeared or washed off. Several parents in the park, stopped her to ask if that was her number on the kids’ arms. Each time, they loved the idea. The day was a success and the idea for SafetyTat temporary id tattoos was born.
Safety Tat was kind enough to send us some Quick Stick Write-On! Safety Tats for review. I knew that with Johnny starting Sunday School it was the perfect time to try them out. These Safety Tats are applied without water, are vibrant and opaque, are shipped blank so you can enter your own information on them, and they are durable. Each Safety Tat can last up to two weeks due to the medical grade adhesive used. They are stretchable, breathable, microthin and are hypoallergenic and latex free. In addition they are waterproof!
Applying and removing the Safety Tat was very easy. I peeled the back off of it and stuck it on Johnny’s arm. I then peeled the front sides off and wrote my number on it with the included marker. I put it on Johnny in the morning before we left and showed it to him to tell him what it was. I explained that it was my phone number in case he needs to talk to me. When I dropped him off at the Sunday School, I showed the teachers and they both thought it was such a great idea! The number was still legible when I picked him up and continued to be easy to read throughout the entire evening. I ended up taking it off after about 26 hours, but only because I wanted to be able to review the product completely. There was no reason to otherwise because it was on him and not coming off on its own! I peeled it off like I would a bandaid; just stuck my nail under it and peeled it off.
The best thing about Safety Tats are the peace of mind I had knowing that my phone number was on my son’s arm in case they needed to contact with. How wonderful would this be when you are going to a fair, concert, park, beach or anywhere else that is crowded? Wouldn’t you feel a little more at ease if you knew that your young child had a way to contact you directly on their body in the horrible event they were separated from you? Safety Tat also has released their Halloween Safety Tats. I can’t think of a better time to use a Safety Tat than when kids are excited and running around. Halloween Safety Tats are available starting October 1, 2009.
I will be using Safety Tats again. They are wonderful and I am so thankful to have been given the chance to review them. I really can not describe the amount of peace I had knowing that my son, who didn’t know my phone number, was able to contact me at any time. Such relief!
