Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Moms Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
There is so much I love about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 we are reviewing through the Verizon Moms Voices program. It has been such a fun product to work with and learn about. One thing that it has helped with immensely though is with back to school time.
School work can be a drag. I mean, really a drag. I have two kids that are in that “school age” and sometimes it is a fight to get them to want to work. Johnny tends to want to do his own thing but Joley is a tough sell at times. I have found some amazing apps for the Tab that make her learning more enjoyable.
She is only 4 years old and is learning her alphabet and numbers. I have found some apps that she can learn those in new and exciting ways and she is thrilled! While she thinks she is “playing on the tablet”, she is actually learning!
This app allows Joley to see and hear what the letters are. She can also use her finger to trace them. She has started recognizing letters thanks to this one.
This app is interactive. She gets to count the falling apples and trace the numbers. In addition, it asks her to find things (like the horse).
But, there is more! We have to go to my son’s school every day for pickup. Sometimes the girls get bored. Okay, they often get bored. The Tab 2 has made MY life easier in this regard. Waiting outside of school with unhappy children is not fun. The Tab 2 has been a source of entertainment for the girls during these times. They listen to music, watch videos, or play games.
And finally, it has made my life easier in another way. I offer incentives to my kids at times. If Johnny does his homework without argument, he is often given a reward. His latest request has been to play on the tablet. This incentive has made homework time much less stressful around here!
I love the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. The service is absolutely amazing. I have never had an issue with it not working or being slow. The girls have never had to stop playing or have a movie paused due to lack of service. It just doesn’t happen.
Have you used a tablet or other electronic device to help in school work or during back to school time? Tell me about it!

I’ve been looking into that for my tablet. My brother has an ipad and really likes it, but i’m more of a Google fan, than Apple. Its cheaper too.

I have both Garrett. While I do love them both, I definitely have a much greater appreciation for the Samsung Tablet now.
