One of my biggest pet peeves is people who don’t type full words in their status updates on Facebook. It annoys me with texting too. So, when I saw this on Pinterest, I had to giggle. Does this stuff bother you too?

It annoys me in emails, but not in texting or status updates. It’s challenging to use those little keyboards on phones.

Yes it does. I have great nieces in Florida who do that on Facebook and I have to say “What?” to them all the time.
They honestly don’t know any better, this is what they have been taught for years now. It is very sad.

Loved this! That’s why I have a smartphone and pay for iPhone unlimited — so I don’t need to truncate words and sentences when texting. I don’t think I’ve truncated (or otherwise molested) words in my Facebook status updates, but I can’t say for sure. I’m not a huge FB fan, so haven’t made many status updates of the type where I’m forced to actually visit the page.
I’m cheating on FB with G+. I always write my words out there. The only time I “hv 2 shortn my wrds” is when sending tweets. I don’t like the “long tweet” feature because it destroys the whole idea of micro-blogging, so I don’t use it. While it pained me at first, the money in the bank from new clients gotten using Twitter eased that somewhat. 🙂
Wonderful post.

That is perfect! It annoys me in texting too… I have unlimited texts, so I don’t care if it ends up being one text or two. I just like reading real words!
