For most of us, school supply shopping is a not-so-distant memory and often times, one we want to just put in the back of our mind. But, we all know kids and the crazy way that time seems to fly with them. Before we all know it, the semester will be over and we may be asked to replenish the school supplies of our little darlings and be headed out to the chaos of school supply shopping again.
Thanks to a St. Louis mom and businesswoman, Marlene Denoyer, who recently launched AmericanStudentSupply.com, an online store where you can buy school/grade-specific Mypack® school supply kits, that dreaded shopping trip can be a thing of the past. But, it gets even better… With every MyPack purchase, American Student Supply provides much needed school supplies to underprivileged and homeless, school-aged children. In addition, a portion of all proceeds from each sale are donated back to the school’s parent organization in support of their efforts of providing programs and enrichment tools that may not be provided by district budgets.
One more thing and then I will tell you about the very cool Facebook contest that American Student Supply is holding right now.
I want to encourage you to share information with your school about American Student Supply and their Become a Partner School Program. By Becoming a Partner School, the percentage of cash donations to the parent organization doubles to 10% of GROSS SALES, in exchange for parent volunteers assisting with MyPack delivery and student pick up at the schools. For schools that do not have a formalized parent organization, American Student Supply will work closely with school administrators and donate needed items equal to the value of would-be cash donations. Registering as a Partner School for the MyPack Gives Back program is free.
This sounds like a great company, right? I love the idea behind the program, that it benefits the schools and students involved and that underprivileged and homeless children see a benefit as well. Please take a moment to check out American Student Supply.
Okay, now for the fun Facebook contest! American Student Supply is giving away a $210 Essential Balance gift card to Ginger Bay Salon and Spa in Kirkwood, MO. All you have to do is “LIKE” American Student Supply on Facebook and then take a short survey to be entered. I just took the survey myself so I could tell you about it and it takes a minute at most and consists of very easy, multiple-choice questions. The survey ends on September 10th and a winner will be drawn on September 12th. Be sure to get those entries in if you live in or around St. Louis! Who doesn’t want a spa day???
Disclosure: I was contacted about this promotion and will receive small compensation for sharing this information with you. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
