My husband loves to make us pancakes on the weekend. The kids think it is one of the best parts of spending time with their dad. It really is not a hard meal to accomplish either and there are so many ways you can change pancakes to make them just how you like.
These strawberry pancakes have a delicious glaze on them that makes them very tasty. They are sure to be a hit with your family!
Ingredients
Pancakes:
1¼ cup Flour
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt
1 Egg
1 cup Milk
1 tbsp Vanilla
1 tbsp melted Butter
1½ cup sliced Strawberries
Glaze:
4 oz softened Cream Cheese
1 cup Powdered Sugar
½ tsp Vanilla
2 tsp Milk
Instructions
Combine glaze ingredients and beat until blended.
Transfer to zippered bag or piping bag and refrigerate until redy to use.
Heat a nonstick griddle or skillet over medium heat.
Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk and vanilla.
Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, then stir in the melted butter.
Pour ¼ cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Then place several strawberry slices in each pancake.
Cook set and bubles form in the middle, about 3 minutes.
Flip and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Drizzle Pancakes with glaze when serving.
