A true sign I am not feeling well…

June 28 by Stefany 3 Comments

I haven't been feeling so great over the past few weeks.  It seems to have gotten worse over the last few days.  On Thursday, during training, I had to eat TUMS in order to stay there.  I was so close to coming home because I was feeling so ill.  I am a strong person though and keep on keepin' on as much as I need to.  It all came to a halting stop today. There is one thing that I look forward … [Read more...]

If it were a crime to be a Christian…

June 21 by Stefany 4 Comments

This past weekend, the priest gave a homily that I am still thinking about.  He spoke about the bible quote in which Jesus asks his disciples "Who do they say I am?"  The disciples answer and then Jesus asks them who they say He is.  Peter answers that He is the Christ.  The priest asked us what people would say about us if we asked the same question... How hard is it to forgive our husbands, … [Read more...]

Hatred and Hypocrisy Felt Firsthand

May 16 by Stefany 12 Comments

Tonight, I felt the power of hatred firsthand.  Never before in my life have I been discriminated against because of my beliefs.  I have been treated differently or made fun of possibly, but never experienced hatred simply because I am Catholic. I know there are many people that have strong feelings about Catholics.  I am not out to evangelize anyone.  In contrast, I just want to have the same … [Read more...]

A little bit of wisdom

May 14 by Stefany 2 Comments

It has been awhile since I shared the verse of the day but I love this one (for Friday). When the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Gal. 5:22-23) I have prayed for patience and self-control so much lately.  I need to feel the love, peace, and joy in my everyday … [Read more...]
