Disclosure: I was provided an all-expenses paid trip to Springfield, MO thanks to the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Yesterday, I told you about a recent trip I went on to Springfield, MO and all the fun and delicious places to eat while there. Today I want to tell you more about the things you can do and see in Springfield. We had so much fun and saw so much in just 2 days. There is so much to do in Springfield!
First I wanted to tell you about where I stayed while there. I was at the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Oasis Convention Center. This is a place I would certainly take my family. They have an amazing indoor pool, nice rooms, continental breakfast, and was clean and nice. I enjoyed my room very much!

On our first full day in Springfield, we headed out on the town. We started at Creative Escape Glass. I was a bit leery that I would be able to do anything with glass but kept an open mind. We learned how to cut glass and created beautiful sun catchers. I was so impressed with the knowledge of the owner, her friendliness and willingness to help, and the whole process. I had SO much fun making a sun catcher and now have a piece of art that will forever remind me of my fun trip to Springfield.
Next we headed to another place focusing on glass, Springfield Hot Glass. We saw a demonstration of how they make glass and looked around at all their fabulous pieces. I loved seeing all the beautiful colors and designs. I loved it so much that I made a gift purchase for my mom for her birthday! This was a neat experience for sure.
Next on the list was a visit to Relics Antique Mall. I mentioned this yesterday because we also ate lunch here. But, visiting the antique mall was fun all by itself. I have never been antique shopping and Relics was definitely the best place to start. This is the largest antique mall in Missouri! We only were able to walk through half of it because of time, but I saw so much. This was so fun, as you can see from the above picture where I modeled this super cool muff! I loved seeing all the unique antiques and even saw something that reminded me of my late grandparents. This was a great stop.

For our final visit on Saturday, we stopped at Hotel Vadivort. They are famous for their bathroom selfies (I’m not kidding!). They have some bathrooms on the lower level that have amazing lighting and people come to take bathroom selfies for that reason. Besides the nice bathrooms though, you will find that Hotel Vandivort has amazing rooms. I would love to stay in this hotel some day! It looks and feels like a retreat. Their is also a restaurant downstairs, The Order, that smelled delicious. This is one place that I will visit again if I go to Springfield… if for no other reason than to get a new fabulous selfie!
On Sunday, we had a few great places to go too! While our plans changed, our visits were fantastic. We visited the Springfield Art Museum. I have been to the Art Museum here in St Louis and loved it so I was excited to see what Springfield had to offer. I was shocked at how big it was and how many pieces they displayed. I was super stoked that they had a Pop Art exhibit featuring many great artists, including one of my favorites, Andy Warhol! I was in a lot of pain on Sunday so I didn’t get to see all the exhibits but I did truly enjoy this stop. I hear they have a great kid’s area so be sure to stop there if you visit with the family.
Our final stop on my trip to Springfield, MO was to the Fantastic Caverns. Fantastic Caverns is America’s only all-riding cave tour! This was not my first time in a cave but certainly the only time I have ridden through one. It was an educational and beautiful tour! I will certainly come back here and I know the kids would really enjoy it too.
Springfield, MO offers so much when it comes to food, fun, and sights. I am already thinking about a family trip there this summer! I know my entire family would enjoy seeing much of what I did and other sights that Springfield has. If you are looking for a vacation spot, I can say honestly that Springfield is a place to add to your list. It was so much fun!
I want to give a huge thanks to Susan and The Springfield Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for treating me to this fabulous weekend and Missouri Women Bloggers for setting it up. I also want to say thank you to the fabulous ladies I met on my trip for making it so enjoyable.
What do you think would be your favorite thing to do in Springfield, MO?
