I would like to introduce you to the newest members of our house… Muffin and Cupcake.  Muffin is the black one and Cupcake is the baby.  They live in Joley’s room and are very sweet and friendly.  I have had fun learning all about guinea pigs and seeing what foods they like best (for the record, it is red peppers, parsley, and carrots). We love them!

How cute! We went to the pet store spring of last year with intentions of getting a guinea pig, but my son choose to get a hamster instead.

I have always been afraid of these. My friend had one when we were children and it bit me. I have never held one since. Those look cute though!

How lovely! It’s one pet that I don’t know much about, so I might have to go and have a read about them!

I didn’t either. 🙂 They are a bit more work than the average small pet but they are worth it… and they are so sweet!

They are cute! but none for my boys. I’d be the one taking care of it.. and I’m taking care of a fish now. I’ve swore off pets here.

Uh-oh! I’m having gerbil flashbacks. lol I hated my kids gerbils. They were too mouse-like. We initially had intentions of getting a guinea pig, but the one at the animal shelter we saw started to hiss at me & I screamed bloody murder. lol Muffin and cupcake are adorable. As long as they stay in their cages. lol

LMAO! These guys are super sweet. I wouldn’t get one unless it was already handled or was a baby so we could handle it. Muffin we rescued from someone and she was already nice. We got the baby at 3 weeks.

Now, I do like hamsters but not gerbils. I prefer not to have any animals that small with tails. LOL

Oh man! That stinks you can’t have any. I can’t remember the last time I was without a pet… likely never between my parent’s animals and mine. LOL

LOL! Yeah, the baby squeaks all the time but Muffin only does when she hears food. Well, she also does if you take the baby out of the cage without her too.

From what I can recall, guinea pigs are very talkative. I remember staying over at a friends place and their guinea pigs talked all night.

The baby does talk a lot… but Muffin only does when there is food coming. LOL
