After a long working week, we all want to let our hair down and have fun with our friends, after all – we deserve it! However, it’s now becoming more apparent that more and more of us are switching off from the night scene and opting for nights in with good food, good friends and even better wine instead!
When you look at the cost of going out, it’s hardly surprising really. The pressure of finding and buying a new outfit, having drinks at home before you go out, getting a taxi, paying to get into clubs, drinks at the bar, more clubs, more drinks, food on the way home and of course a taxi to your front door…it all adds up! You might as well cash in all your investments now to finance your nights out! If you’re looking for more information on investments and investment pieces check out this website. At least when you’re planning a night in, you don’t have to worry about your budget, you can stay safe and have fun at home with friends and you can wear your comfiest PJs!
So, with this in mind, we’ve come up with 4 ideas for hosting the perfect night in with your girlfriends. Enjoy!
Cook together
This idea should come with a warning, because cooking with your friends is incredibly fun, but also likely to destroy your kitchen! Decide what you fancy cooking together in advance and let everyone bring some ingredients over. Add a glass of wine or two and you’ll all have a blast – not to mention a (hopefully) delicious meal to share afterwards. If you’re going down this route then make sure your friends agree to help you clean up the next morning!
A spa night
Who says you need to head to a spa retreat for a weekend to have fun? You can easily recreate the spa experience at home with your friends! Plus all the extra wine you can have! You can buy your own spa products – prices vary so it’s great if you’re on a budget – or you could have a go at making them yourselves. Facials, manicures and pedicures – an evening with friends and pampering yourself will make you forget all the troubles and worries of the working week.
Break out the boardgames
Good friends, boardgames and plenty of wine is a hilarious mix. Whether you find a risqué game to play like Cards Against Humanity or What do you Meme? Or something more traditional like Twister or even Monopoly (no cheating accusations please!), games always bring out the fun in everyone, just make sure you don’t get too competitive!
Turn up the nostalgia
If you’ve all been friends since childhood, then this is perfect. Having a Nostalgic evening is both hilarious and eye opening! Dress how you would have done all those years ago, play the music you all used to dance to at parties and watch the movies you all enjoyed so much as kids. Don’t forget to bring up a couple of cringy moments from everyone’s past – including your own!
