The Dragon and the Turtle Go on SafariAll kids go through fears… fear of noises, fear of the dark, fear of just about anything.  Thanks to The Dragon and the Turtle Go On Safari by Donita K. Paul and Evangeline Denmark, you can get some help in dispelling those fears.  In addition, your kids can learn the importance of helping others.

Here is a brief synopsis of what the book is about:

Padraig the dragon and his best friend, Roger the turtle are determined to spend the whole night outside. As brave explorers at the base of Mount Sillymanborrow, the boys use their imaginations to have fun while munching on crunchy baked bugs and toasting s’mores over their campfire. But when the sky gets dark and the sounds of strange animals fill the forest outside their tent, their safari gets scary. This adventure is just what the boys need to discover that the dark might be frightening, but their friendship is stronger than fear.

I think this book is very cute and the illustrations are wonderful. I love a book that has a message while still being entertaining. This one certainly fits that description!

You can purchase The Dragon and the Turtle Go On Safari for $11.99.  I would recommend this book to anyone with a child that suffers from fear of the dark especially, but any child would appreciate this book I believe.

You can also visit and fan Waterbrook on Facebook.

Disclosure: I was sent the book mentioned from Waterbrook through MamaBuzz. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you for the review, Stefany. I hope you had fun with the dialogue and their “British” accents. I’d like to invite you and your readers to come by http://www.dragonandturtle.com. We have two contests going that will end this month. One prize is camping gear and the other is matching parent/child aprons. We also have activity pages for kids and info pages for adults.
