Do you know… that I didn’t breastfeed Johnny?
Do you know… that I didn’t even consider it because of my work situation?
Do you know... that I really don’t feel guilty about that?
Do you know… that I wasn’t sure i would like breastfeeding Joley?
Do you know… that I considered exclusively pumping because I wasn’t sure how I would feel about nursing?
Do you know… that I gave myself short goals to reach when we started? 6 weeks… 4 months… 6 months.
Do you know… that I was told I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed her past 6 months (at most)?
Do you know… that the first 6 months of breastfeeding were rough?
Do you know… the thought of giving up never crossed my mind?
Do you know… that despite all the problems we have had, I am so proud that we are still doing it nearly 11 months later?
Do you know… that my biggest complaint is my awful nursing bras?
Do you know… that I am too cheap to buy good ones so I suffer with cheap nursing bras and hate them daily?
Do you know… that I have no desire to stop breastfeeding my baby any time soon?
Do you know… that the thought of weaning makes me feel sad?
Do you know… that I don’t feel one bit bad about that?
Do you know… that I pray every night while I nurse Joley?
Do you know… that the time I spend with Joley nursing her is the best part of my day… every day?
Do you know… how fantastic it is to look down at your baby and see them looking back at you while they are nursing?
Do you know… how much I love breastfeeding?
Do you know… what a blessing and gift it is, in my eyes, to be able to breastfeed my baby girl?
Breastfeeding has changed my life. I love it… every minute of it.
