Do you have a child that is up and down all night? Are they afraid to sleep on their own? Well, I have the perfect product for you!
We recently were sent a Dream Team Pet to review. Jemma named her “Kitty” and fell in love with her the minute she came out of the box. What’s not to love? The animal is soft and huggable!
What are Dream Team Pets?
Dream Team Pets is an innovative kid’s sleep aid that helps end the bedtime battles of trying to keep your child in bed. Developed with the help of a pediatrician, Dream Team Pets bedtime routine empowers kids as they reward their Pet with stickers and a certificate for a good night’s sleep. If the child wakes up from a nightmare, there are no hard feelings because the responsibility is on their Pet, but when they successfully sleep in their own bed, the kids feel a sense of accomplishment as they reward their Dream Team Pet. What makes this unique is that the kids think they are training their Pet, but really they are sleep training themselves!
I read the included story to Jemma, my child that doesn’t stay in bed, and sent her to bed the first night. She was up once but headed back to bed. We read the story every night after, focusing on the poem that asks the Dream Team Pet to protect the child. The second night she went to bed right away. On the third night we had some difficulty but she wanted to “train” her pet so she went back to bed with her. This went on for a few nights and we were able to get Jemma to stay in bed all night.
Ironically, Jemma does not have nightmares but the Dream Team Pet still helped her. She wanted her Kitty to succeed in her training and adding stickers to her pet’s certificate every morning was so fun for her. I think this would be very useful for kids who do suffer from nightmares, but like I said, it did help Jemma who doesn’t have anything wrong with her except that she doesn’t want to go to bed when she is told!

When my daughter was little she used to have a terrible time sleeping alone. She always had a wild imagination. This would have been perfect for her.

This is such a cute idea. My son is always saying he had a nightmare although he says it when he is awake so he doesn’t have to go to bed so maybe this will help.

So cute! The security of a stuffed toy! My kids were more into their blankets. I once had to go back to the mall late one night to find my daughter’s blankie or she wouldn’t go to sleep. Lol

It really is an adorable toy and your daughter is so cute! I like this concept and I can see it working effectively if reinforced every night like you did. I will have to pass this info on to my nephew…I think his little girl might have some issues with this.

My daughter had nightmares and night terrors when she was a child. We wound up making up “monster spray” to kill the monsters in her closet, but this would have been an even better idea. Plus, the pets are so cute.

I have been thinking about getting kiddo one of these for Christmas. She is almost 10, but she divides her week between here with her father, her mothers and one of her grandmothers. It can be stressful on her to have to go to so many homes and settle in each night. Maybe this will help.

I would try it. My daughter needs help with the sleep, especially when she is sick. This is a great idea

So hard to tell… my daughter goes back and forth with sleeping through the night and not. We bought her a flash light puppy and at times we will see that go off in the middle of the night and then we slowly see her and the light creep up into our bed 😉

There’s nothing better than a stuffed little buddy to help a child sleep. When I was a kid, I had a teddy bear that was absolutely REQUIRED for me to sleep.
