Johnny really has been into the DVD The Legend of Korra: Book One: Air lately. He was cut off from DVDs for a few days because he couldn’t keep track of them but when he got them back, this was the first one he picked up. He said that this DVD is “awesome” and that he can’t wait to watch it again. Here is what the DVD has included:
From the creators of the beloved animated franchise Avatar: The Last Airbender comes The Legend of Korra. Against the wishes of her guardians, Korra leaves the safety of her home in the Southern Water Tribe to travel to Republic City. After her Airbending teacher and spiritual mentor Tenzin agrees to let her stay in the city, Korra discovers the exciting world of Pro-bending. Before long, Korra’s Avatar skills are put to the test when she encounters a group of Chi-blockers that threaten the city and all the benders in it led by a masked man named Amon. He plots to gain control over Republic City and ultimately rid the world of the “impurity” of bending.
I’m going to be completely honest with you and tell you that I couldn’t get into this DVD myself. I tried. I really tried. But, it is just not my thing. Johnny, on the other hand, went on and on about how much he liked this set and how he thinks it is “so cool”. My final thoughts on this therefore is that A) you need to be a boy, B) you need to like this type show, and/or C) I need to widen my tastes in shows. Regardless, Johnny speaks highly of this and for me, that is a win every time.
You can purchase The Legend of Korra: Book One: Air wherever DVDs are sold for the SRP of $19.99 for DVD and $34.99 for Blu-ray.
