Whether you are celebrating Valentine’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Day, or any day in between, it is always nice to let teachers know how much you appreciate the time they spend with your kids. This is a super easy teacher gift you can create!
We recently had Teacher Appreciation Day in our school. Last year I made scarves for the teachers but my hands are hurting too bad to do them this year. We were low on funds but I wanted to do something nice for the teachers anyway. It doesn’t take a lot of money to show people that you care! So, we made these cute little “Kisses for my teacher” gifts. It cost me about $5 to make all 3.
Here’s what you need:
Small jar (I got these from the dollar store)
Hershey’s Kisses (we always grab some at the end of the holiday seasons)
Twine or ribbon
Gift tag (buy or make). Ours were from the Target $1 section where I got about 10 for $1.
Now the fun part!
Simply add some Hershey Kisses to your jar. Make a gift tag with words “Kisses for my teacher” on it and have your child sign it. You could also create an image but I liked the personal touch of the kids doing them. Attach the tag with twine or ribbon. Give to your child’s teacher! My kids also made cards for their teachers that they gave with their gifts.
Do you give teacher gifts? What do you like to give them?

I think this is a great idea to show appreciation to anyone: teachers included.
So cute!! I love this idea! How much were your jars?
Rebekah, those came from the dollar store so only $1 each!!
This is really cute. And I’m sure the candy kisses are always welcome. 🙂
Oh yes! I know I love them.
We usually only give gifts at Christmas. This would be great for any child’s valentine exchange.
Yes it would. We do Christmas, Teacher Appreciation Day, and usually the end of the year. ha!
As I have yet to meet anyone who does not like Herseys Kisses this would definitely make a great appreciation gift for almost anyone.
You are right about that Michele!!
great ideas! I love this stuff!
Thanks Kat!
