Getting pregnant, or trying to conceive (TTC) was not an easy thing for me. I never guessed when we decided to actively try to have children that it would be so difficult. I never guessed that it would take so long and be so emotionally and physically draining on me and my husband. Getting pregnant just wasn’t easy.
I tried so many things to get pregnant. I charted my temps, I bought ovulation prediction kits, I had a monitor that helped me know when to try to conceive. I even went on medications prescribed my physician to try to get pregnant. It wasn’t happening. I was distraught and worried and honestly felt like I was never going to be a mom.
To say I would have done anything I could to get pregnant is an understatement. It wasn’t in our budget to do IUI or IVF. We didn’t have an extra couple thousand (possibly for several months) to do these procedures. I would have, believe me. But we just couldn’t. Had The Stork been available to me when I was trying to conceive, I guarantee I would have given it a try. We tried for 22 months to get pregnant with Johnny, 17 months with Joley. Every month after the 12 month mark was a blow to my psyche. I needed to do more but what more could we do? The Stork would have given us a different option and one that I would have felt in control of.
The Stork is manufactured by Rinovum, a Pittsburgh, PA-based, privately-held women’s health company dedicated to bringing products into the market that will enhance women’s lives and empower them to take charge of their health. Their CEO and founder of the product personally has been through infertility issues with his wife and has dedicated his life to helping other women.
The Stork Conception System is indicated for assisted insemination in instances where low sperm count, sperm immobility, or hostile vaginal environment has been diagnosed. The system (cervical cap in a condom-like silicone sheath) is used to collect semen into a cervical cap, and then deliver the cap to the outside of the cervix as an aid to conception. It is to be used at home following physician instructions. You can see a full video for how to use The Stork kit here.
Remember me saying we couldn’t afford IUI or IVF? Well this is a huge benefit I see in The Stork. Check out the price comparison.
There are several benefits though. The technique used is one that has been used for several years but this can be done in your own home! It is a FDA approved, drug-free product that is non-invasive (requiring no surgery or injections). It is easy to use with directions that are easy to understand.
So, how do you get this awesome product that can help YOU get pregnant? It’s easy!
- First, contact your healthcare provider for a prescription for The Stork. (Just so you know, The Stork is set to be available over-the-counter later in 2014)
- Next, purchase The Stork from the website.
- You will now need to submit a copy of the prescription through email, fax or mail for verification by Rinovum.
- Pick your shipping option: Overnight (if placed between M-F by 3 PM) or Ground (5-7 business days). The Stork will ship directly to your home.
You can choose from one device or a one-month supply of 3 individually-packaged devices. As I mentioned above, it is very cost-effective; $79.99 for one device or $210 for a one-month supply.
I love that The Stork offers an option for women to address fertility issues in the comfort of their own home. I lost hope in my journey to having children and The Stork could have given me some back. I encourage you to share this with anyone who is having infertility issues. They may just be able to have the child they have given up hope of having thanks to The Stork Conception Aid.

When I worked in the pharmacy training area of an insurance company years ago, I remember a woman on the phone with me in tears because she couldn’t get her fertility meds, and that was the day she needed them. She was sobbing she was so scared it wasn’t going to happen, and I felt horrible. Any new options for those struggling are definitely worth looking in to!

It is amazing how actually difficult it can be to conceive! I have a friend that could use this! I will pass the word.

I actually did many rounds of IVF. I wish this had been available back then. It would have saved me so much money!
Melissa says
I didn’t realize this option existed.

This is great for people who struggle with infertility. I know I’d do whatever I could if I had to. 🙂

We had fertility issues with our first child and it was ridiculously expensive. (Worth every penny though.) I wish there had been options like this when I was TTC!
Mama to 5 BLessings says
Interesting, I have never heard of this before. I hope this works for you, having children is one of the biggest blessings. Sounds a lot less costly then other methods.
Pam says
I haven’t heard of this product before. Hopefully it will help people who would otherwise have to pay thousands and thousands for fertility treatments.

Fortunately, I didn’t have any problem in this dept. I really hope this product will help a lot of people to be able to conceive without having to spend a small fortune.

It is exciting that there is another option to try – especially one that is so significantly cheaper. ONe question though. . . could doctors not think of a gentler phrase than “hostile vaginal environment”??? Geez !
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
I’m sure if I were having difficulty conceiving I would definitely give this a try before moving to very costly measures.
Amber Edwards says
I have so many friends who have struggled with getting babies. This would have given them a lot more affordable options to try before doing the super expensive treatments that the insurance never covered. I am so glad there are so many more options for families now.
Candace says
I feel for women who struggle with fertility issues. Glad to see that more options to help are becoming available.

I would have used this in a heartbeat, and have said as much. (I posted about this too). I won’t ever forget all of those nights crying myself to sleep because I had another negative test, another period start….month after month. Fertility struggles are horrible. ANYTHING that helps with them is a good thing!!

When we first got married we discussed what we would do when if we tried to conceive and had difficulties doing so since that runs in my husband’s family. Fortunately for us it didn’t take me too long to get pregnant with our daughter. We had decided not to do extreme measures due to costs – so this would have been a good alternative if we would have needed it.
Janel says
WOw, I cannot belive that prize comparison!! We haven’t had to use any fertility products.
Jennifer Soltys says
Wow, that is amazing. So many options now!!! We have decided to most likely not have kids, but it’s great that there are options out there for people who want them so badly.
