Joley woke up this morning and was in a great mood. I brought her downstairs to change her diaper and play and we “talked” like always. I tried to get her to say things (I always start with mama) and she smiled at me. Until… she starts up with “dadadada“. Are you kidding me?!?
Little turd! I feed her, sleep with her, spend majority of time with her and she says “dada” first? I see how this is going to be.
She better say “mama” with intent first. I can take her babbling without meaning to her daddy… but she better say mama and mean it. Dammit!
Ha! She is on the floor saying “dadada” over and over. Johnny just went up to her and said “mama” and is trying to get her to repeat it. He is a smart boy. He just earned some brownie points from me. Anyone hear the swimming pool calling and popsicles melting? (totally kidding… it is already 90 degrees outside and only 10am!)

2 of my 3 said Daddy first. Took my oldest daughter FOREVER to call me Mommy.
