Is it bad that I don’t remember what I did on Friday night? I know I did some cupboard cooking and then the rest of the night is a blur. Great, huh? I know at some point I worked on some homework though.
On Saturday, I stayed home and just hung out with the kids. Mackenzie, Johnny, and I played games and just had fun. It has been awhile since we pulled out the board games and just played for hours but we did and it was great! After they went to bed I worked on my homework again.
On Sunday, I didn’t make my normal Mass so Johnny didn’t get to Sunday School (which I feel really bad about even though he didn’t really want to go anyways). I ended up taking Mackenzie to the later Mass and then we went shopping and to lunch. I really enjoy hanging out and just doing nothing with her and I *think* she enjoys it too. She is kind of hard to read sometimes. We went to a little gift shop near my church, to Steak n Shake for lunch, the Christian store and then Barnes and Noble. It is kind of amazing how much she is like me despite not being my child… must be the nature vs. nurture idea. She loves to read and learn and we spent a large amount of time looking at books yesterday (which I LOVE to do). No one else will do that with me. She also loves going to Goodwill and digging through stuff the way I do. She is my shopping partner for sure.
It was an uneventful but a fun weekend. How was yours?
