I have been thinking about my Just a Motivating Monday post for a week. I have had ideas and thoughts pertaining to motivation for days. I have decided that motivation may be cyclical. Motivation may be something that feeds off of other motivators. Have I lost you? Let me explain.
Last week I posted about how those in my class motivate me to succeed and keep on keepin’ on for school. Three of my very best friends commented on that post. Here is what they said when I said I was motivated and would succeed in school:
Kara said: YES!! You are right!! You WILL succeed! I’ve never met such a motivated person…with the kind of schedule and size of family that you do! You give me inspiration!! I’m so proud of you!!
Ashlee said: Yes you WILL!! I have no doubts. If anyone can, it’s YOU! You will be amazing and a huge asset to the world! I can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you do!!
Amanda said: You inspire me to get my butt motivated and do what you’re doing. I have a goal of getting my CPA and I am basically going to be starting at the beginning… I’ve hardly taken any classes.
I’ve been fortunate to have always had a great job in accounting… I just need the degree so I can make the big bucks 😉
I’m proud of you! I can’t wait to read all about your journey…. you are a wonderful friend and I’m glad we found each other 🙂
Do you know what those comments did? They motivated me to work harder. If my friends have so much faith in me and feel proud of me, I can… I must succeed. These are people who believe in me because they are good friends and good people. I am motivated to do well because of them.
Motivation must be cyclical. If I can motivate my friends and my friends comments and feelings about me motivate me, we are working off of each other. It is a beautiful thing!
