I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for CVS MinuteClinic. I received promotional items as a thank you for participating.
It’s that time of year… the time of year when colds, coughs, and the flu affect our family and make us miserable. So, what do you do? Do you go to the pediatrician when your kids aren’t feeling well? Do you head to your primary care physician when you aren’t feeling well? What if it is after-hours? Do you go to Urgent Care or the emergency room? While those are all great options, sometimes they just aren’t practical.
I know that this time of year it is extremely hard to get an appointment at my pediatrician’s office. They are swamped. I hate to take my kids (or myself) to the urgent care of emergency room because the wait times are crazy long and the cost is crazy expensive. There is another option and it is called the MinuteClinic!
MinuteClinics are in 28 states and DC in many local CVS stores. What makes them special is that they are open 7 days a week, require no appointment, and have evening hours too! CVS is now your one-stop shop for all things cold, cough, and flu. You can visit the MinuteClinic, grab any essentials (like tissues, cough drops, or saline spray), and get any new prescriptions filled too. I know, for me, that is a huge bonus. Not having to drive all over the place saves me time and saves my sanity!
I remember last year working in the school and hearing so many parents question whether their child had a flu or a cold. I wanted to share this amazing graphic with you from MinuteClinic. If you haven’t received your flu shot yet, you can even do that at your local CVS! Like I said, one-stop-shop! Click on the image for a full article.
I know that we would have no problem utilizing a MinuteClinic if one of us became ill. It is an affordable option for adults and children to get the care they need when other options aren’t necessarily convenient.
Be sure to follow @MinuteClinic on Twitter too!
