dog cookies

I love to pamper my pets and one of my favorite ways to do that is to make them dog treats (or cookies as my kids say). What I love about these is that I feel good giving them to my dogs because I know exactly what they are eating. My dogs absolutely love these so I wanted to share them with you! They are very easy to make and your pup will love you for it.

Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Cookies
Author: Stefany
Prep time:  10 mins
Cook time:  40 mins
Total time:  50 mins

Ingredients
  • 2½ cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • water (as needed)
Instructions
  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl until blended.
  3. Add water to make dough stick together. It should be a dry dough though so not too much.
  4. Roll out dough until about a half-inch thick. Cut how you like (with cutters, or just use a knife to cut squares).
  5. Place on foil-covered baking sheet. Bake for about 40 minutes, until treats are hard.

The more important thing is: dogs will love them because they have adorable and cute shapes!
