This week I have decided to join The UnMom with Random Tuesday Thoughts because I am all about random these days.
How do you like my new blog look? I am so excited about it and am in love with my navigation bar that leads you to my review blog. Sheila at Blog Designs by Sheila made over both of my blogs. I love the look and consistency between them. Sheila was so great to work with. She put up with my indecisiveness and took care of the install. It didn’t take very long at all either. If you are looking for a change, big or small, I totally recommend Sheila!
Lucky seems to be doing better with her back problem. She isn’t whining very much and has started to try to use her back leg to push herself up more. She has even gotten herself up the stairs the past two nights. I hope it is more than just pain pills and she is really starting to feel better. Fingers crossed.
I am at a loss about what to do with Johnny and the school situation. I posted about it on Sunday and once again, no one commented. I don’t know if maybe my kid is a freak and people are afraid to tell me or if people just don’t care about my embarrassing situations outside church. (kidding, I know you all love me. Right?) Either way, I wish this separation anxiety would get better, like now. He is totally not happy about my leaving to go anywhere now and it is making things a bit difficult.
My two middle kids are on cycle break for the next 3 weeks. Mason is with his mom for this week but Mackenzie is home. I made her write down things she could do if she gets bored. I get so tired of the kids telling me there is nothing to do and they are boooored. So, if I hear it now, they are to pick from their list. If they can’t pick or don’t want to do anything on it, I get to pick. (insert evil laugh). They don’t want me to pick… nope. They are going to be much happier if they pick from the list they made themselves.
Tayler’s homecoming is this weekend. She was sick this past weekend when we were supposed to go dress shopping so I don’t know what she is going to do. I don’t really get the “have to go shopping to get a dress” thing honestly. We borrowed dresses from friends for a lot of our dances. I know my mom bought some dresses (thank you Mom!) but there were times that I borrowed. One of my favorite dresses was one I borrowed. I just don’t know when we will have time to shop this week because she has plans every day this week for homecoming stuff and babysitting. I think she should go but I think she should think of other options. I will take her to a resale place if she likes but we won’t be able to go very far because of time constraints. Plus, I am not 100% sure her dad and I are feeling good about her “plans”. We will have to see what it all entails.
If you follow me on Twitter, you know I complain talk about school a lot. I recently finished up a project that I didn’t think would be near as bad as it was. In all honesty, it was worse than I could have imagined. It was just redundant and took so long. It ended up being 13 pages long. We got our new assignment today and there is a note that it shouldn’t be no longer than 3 pages. I wonder if that is in response to the long assignments she just received. ha! Either way, if I don’t start getting some grades I may lose my mind. I need to know how I am doing to know if there are things I should be doing better or if the things I am doing now are good. That and I am completely OCD and not knowing is driving me batty.
Joley has a 4th tooth now. She has her two top middle ones and the bottom two middle ones. She is so freaking cute. I will be glad when the last two coming pop through and give her (and my breast) a break. She is loving trying new things and is so happy to have a grilled cheese. It is so surprising to us how small she is because she can eat. She can eat a lot!
I have some reviews/giveaways coming up. I just need to type them up. I will do them very soon… I promise!
I am selling my beloved Canon D60 with all the goodies it came with. I have been looking for a new lens to buy for it but what I found was that the lens was going to cost more than I had wanted to spend. So, I started doing my research and found a new Nikon D60 with two lenses for a great deal. We went last night to look at it and they gave us $125 off of the cost because they didn’t have an SD card that was supposed to come with it and it was the last one they had. We have a few SD cards so that was not a big deal at all! Now, I need to learn how to use it… but it is very similar to my Canon. The only thing I would like to get is a battery grip but it can wait because they are kinda pricey. I just got used to having one on my Canon and loved it so I will make the purchase someday.
Well, I think that is enough random for right now. What are your random thoughts on this great Tuesday?
