As the weather gets colder, I find it harder and harder to get up in the morning. Crawling out of my warm bed is not something that I look forward to and I find myself pushing the time I need to get up later and later, and then rushing around trying to get the kids out the door. It is this time of year that I find I need to make some changes to ensure I am productive each day. There are several things that work for me, one of them being drinking Gold Peak Coffee. I am working on this sponsored post with Gold Peak Coffee to let you know all about this delicious beverage and how it helps keep me motivated, especially during these cold months.
Would you like to know how I am more productive when the weather gets cold? Read on!
How to remain productive in the winter months
Make a to-do list –
I need to see what I have to accomplish each day. Writing it out or using my smartphone are both ways that I can do this. A to-do list keeps me focused, even on those days that I want to crawl back into my warm bed.
Exercise first thing in the morning –
Not only does exercising make me feel good and boost my metabolism, it also warms me up. There is nothing quite like a good workout to get your heart pumping and your body relaxed and ready for the day.
Be comfortable –
I know many people don’t think wearing hoodies and yoga pants is appropriate. But, when I am at home, comfort is key. Even when I am going out and about though, I need to be comfortable. Being able to move freely is important when you are trying to keep warm and not want to hole up in the house all winter.
Smile –
Don’t close the screen thinking I have lost my mind quite yet! Smiling, just the act itself, changes your whole outlook. It is hard to stay in a bad mood (which can often happen when the cold weather moves in and we are stuck in the house more) when you smile. Laugh with your friends and family, give the kids a smile. These things will make you feel better and, in turn, increase your productivity.
Grab a good cup of coffee –
Waking up and getting out of that warm bed is torture. I find that getting up and having a cup of coffee is a necessity! Whether I have Gold Peak Coffee (previously known as Georgia Coffee) out or bring a cup home, it is just what I need to make my day start right. The warmth of the coffee makes getting out of bed much more bearable.
But Gold Peak Coffee makes me feel good throughout the whole day. If I am feeling sluggish, I turn to a cup to brighten my mood. During these cold months, I am often seen with a cup of coffee after a meal. There is nothing quite as comforting as a cup of Gold Peak Coffee! Drinking a cup makes me feel good, which again, makes me more productive. A good cup of coffee, like Gold Peak Coffee, can make your day brighter and your body warmer. It is perfect for any time but I especially love it during the cold winter months.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf Gold Peak Coffee. All opinions and commentary are my own.

It’s so hard for me to get up on really cold mornings. A nice cup of coffee certainly helps though!

I’m a total list gal & write down everything! But I have to agree, that smiling can make a huge difference. Embrace all that is beautiful about the winter months & just roll with it.

Caffeine, yoga pants and a list usually get me through the day, but exercise is the most important of all.

I’m a tea drinker, not a coffee drinker, and I pretty much live on iced tea all year long. Luckily, we’re in Southern California so it never gets that cold!

I have lists for my lists. It’s really a bit out of control. I have a big planner, small planner, notebook for stuff, and then another notebook full of ideas for my fiction writing. My brain is on overdrive all the time.

I am the queen of lists!! I have notebooks full of lists LOL 🙂

Coffee for sure and to make sure I have warm fuzzy socks. If I get really cold I just want to curl up under covers if I am warm and cozy I am much more inclined to stay motivated.
