This past weekend, we did something I haven’t been able to do in many, many years! We went to a hockey game!!!
St. Charles welcomed a new team, the St. Charles Chill last Saturday for a free exhibition game. The St. Charles Chill is a minor league team that is part of the Central Hockey League. St. Louis does have the St. Louis Blues but this is a chance for St. Charles locals to see hockey right in their own backyard at the Family Arena!
We had a great time watching the game and were excited to see hockey at its finest. From goals to fights, the St. Charles Chill delivered on the entertainment. What I love about them most though is that they are truly a family-friendly team. Right now we were able to vote on the name of the mascot, something my kids thought was so fun. Not only that, but being a local team means that the Chill makes appearances at local festivals, making them “real” for many children that hope to one day be a professional sports player.
Like I said, we had a blast at the game and I am happy to tell you that the Chill won 2-0.
If you are one of my local readers, I encourage you to head out to a St Charles Chill game! They are a fun, affordable, family-friendly night out. Not to mention that they are talented men! You are sure to see a good game! The first league game is this Saturday, the 19th at 7:05pm. Tickets are available for single games, half-season, or full season buys.

Looks like your kids had a good time, too. Haven’t been to a hockey game in a long time.
