First, for the good news... Joley has gained 7 ounces in the past week! She now weighs 8lbs 130z! Yay! Nursing is going well for her. I want to wean from the shield but the pedi is not concerned about it and told me to not stress since she is gaining so well. Breastfeeding success!!!!!!
I am so proud and happy right now. I wasn't sure I would be able to breastfeed but things are going amazingly well and I couldn't be happier.Joley had a high bili test (13.8) on Friday evening in the hospital. We are home from the hospital!
I will post an official birth story later. Basically though, my no intervention, easy-going birth turned into a very traumatic and horrible birth. :( I am dealing with it... all that matters really is that my baby girl is here and safe!Joley was born on her due date, 12/17/08 at 6:55pm via cesarean. The tech made a guess and said she wasn't sure. The doc came in and I asked him to take a look too. He said that he agreed with Beth (tech) and wasn't showing any signs of reservation like last time. We also got to see a great pic of the baby's privates (better than below).It's a GIRL!!!!!!
