As many of you know, I am working hard to bring faith into the everyday lives of my children. It is sometimes difficult to start our day on the right path when we are tired, hungry, or both. Thanks to The One Year Devotions for Preschoolers 2, that is no longer the case.
In the morning, I get the kids dressed and then we all sit and read from the book. Each day has a short bible quote and then has a little excerpt for you child. For example, on January 4th, it asks “Have you ever felt like nobody likes you?” It then proceeds to tell your child that God thinks they are amazing and fantastic. At the end of each page is a small quote. For this day, it was “When God looks at me, He likes what He sees”.
Johnny is very interested in this book. Part of the reason is because we only read a page a day. He wants to know what the next day says. If that is what peaks his interest, I am all for it. If this continues for each day of the year, we are that much better off than we were last year.
Written in a way to keep your child’s attention, this book is perfect for bring a little bit of faith into the life of your child on a daily basis. Each day is short with a cute drawing so even the littlest of kids will be interested. In addition to your own children, this would make a fantastic gift for a Godchild or to use in Sunday School. I promise you, whoever is given this book will love it.
